Handicap Table Round 1 Round 2 Quarter-Final Semi-Final Final

At the AGM it was decided to split the Knockout Cup into 2 groups, along with the handicap system being reassessed.

Group 1 to consist the Premier Division, Divisions 1 & 2.

Group 2 to consist Divisions 3, 4 & 5.

After much deliberation, the executive committee have tried to make the handicap more fair for each team (as opposed to which division each team is in), and is based on team positions from the previous season 'Final League Tables'.

The basis of the new handicap system is as follows : -

Top position in Group 1 to start off scratch, +25.5 if drawn away.
The remaining teams in Group 1 to receive +3 chalks per position with a further +25.5 if drawn away.
Top position in Group 2 to start off scratch, +20.5 if drawn away.
The remaining teams in Group 2 to receive +2 chalks per position with a further +20.5 if drawn away.
Teams promoted from Division 3 going into group 1 to swap positions and handicaps with teams relegated from Division 2 going into group 2.
When a 'new team' enters the competition, the team to receive the same handicap as that of the top team in their respective division.
Previous season winner to give 10 chalks from their allotted handicap (Parkfield Labour 'A' in 2017).

In the event of teams sharing the same green being drawn against each other : -

Both teams to receive the home handicap with a further 0.5 chalk to be received by the lower positioned team. Practice times for both teams as those set out for the semi-final and final (see below) and both teams shall have alternate blocks.

Knockout Cup Rules as follows : -

Captains of teams drawn at home to give three different days/dates to their opposition within 7 days of being informed the draw. Three dates of the same day of week (I.E. 3 Mondays, 3 Wednesdays, 3 Fridays... etc.) will not be regarded as fulfilling this condition.
Without delay, all captains of teams to inform the secretary of the agreed date of play.
All ties up to and including the Quarter-Final to be played at the home team venue.
The first team drawn in each tie will be the home team, practice and blocks as normal league matches.
The semi-finals & final will be played on neutral greens. Teams to receive the handicap based on league position on date of play (all league fixtures should be completed and league tables updated), with a further 0.5 chalk to be received by the lower league positioned team in each tie. Teams shall have alternate blocks.
The team with the greater aggregate will win the tie in all rounds.
Any matters not covered in these rules, refer to league rules.

Semi-Finals and Final : -

Any player eligible to play in semi-final or final must have played 3 league or cup matches for the team they are representing.
Cards to be paired up before 6:25pm.
Practice for pairings numbered 6 to 10 will be 6:30pm - 6:42pm.
Practice for pairings numbered 1 to 5 will be 6:45pm - 6:57pm.
Teams shall have alternate blocks.
Measurers and markers to be provided by all teams.

Dates of play : -

Round 1: Week commencing Monday, 9th April.
Round 2: ON or BEFORE Friday, 15th June.
Quarter-Finals: ON or BEFORE Friday, 31st August.
Semi-Finals: Tuesday, 11th September on neutral greens.
Finals: Tuesday, 18th September on neutral greens.
